Digital SAT คืออะไร
Digital SAT คือ การสอบ SAT ในรูปแบบออนไลน์ที่ใช้สอบแทนรูปแบบเก่า Paper-based ซึ่งเริ่มในเดือนมีนาคม พ.ศ. 2566 ที่ผ่านมา จัดสอบโดย College Board การสอบรูปแบบใหม่นี้จะทำการสอบผ่านแอปพลิเคชัน Bluebook ซึ่งจะต้องทำการติดตั้งโปรแกรมนี้บนอุปกรณ์ของผู้สอบ อย่าง MAC, Windows, Chromebook หรือ iPad หรือหากผู้สอบไม่มีอุปกรณ์ดังกล่าว สามารถขอยืมอุปกรณ์จากทางศูนย์สอบได้เช่นกัน
ลักษณะข้อสอบ Digital SAT เป็นอย่างไร ยากขึ้นไหม ?
ระดับความยากข้อสอบ Digital SAT หากเปรียบเทียบกับ Paper-based อาจไม่ต่างกันมานัก แต่การสอบ Digital SAT จะมีลักษณะการสอบแบบ Adaptive Test กล่าวคือ การทำข้อสอบของผู้สอบใน Module ที่ 1 จะเป็นตัวกำหนดว่าคำถามใน Module ที่ 2 จะมีความยากมากน้อยแค่ไหน เช่น หากตอบคำถามข้อแรกผิด ระบบจะปรับให้คำถามง่ายลงโดยอัตโนมัติในข้อถัดไป ซึ่งแน่นอนว่าคะแนนก็จะถูกปรับลงตามไปด้วยเช่นกัน ซึ่งการสอบแบบ Adaptive test จะทำให้รู้ความสามารถที่แท้จริงของผู้สอบนั่นเอง
ข้อสอบ Digital SAT ยังมีเนื้อหาการสอบคล้ายกับการสอบรูปแบบเก่า ซึ่งข้อสอบยังคงประกอบด้วย 2 พาร์ท ได้แก่ Reading and Writing และ Math โดยมีคะแนนเต็มเท่าเดิม 1600 แต่จำนวนข้อและเวลาที่ใช้สอบจะลดลงจากเดิม
